Springtime makes me think of this movie, because it came out in May of '88 and I was
SO.
INTO.
IT.
I got the book as soon as it came out, despite having no game system for it. I had no idea how to play AD&D (game for which the sourcebook was, not quite subtly, designed to supplement or interface with) and converting it to the Star Wars rules never crossed my mind.
I remember that the fiction pieces were really quite good; each of the major (and some minor) characters had write-ups, along with a bit of history on each one. Good stuff. Evocative.
Springtime. Willow. Hand-in-hand.
Thus, I've got the yen to whip out the sourcebook again (especially since, lately, I've been messing with AD&D 1st) and mess with it. It's in a plastic tub in the outdoor closet, so the retrieval will have to wait.
As will the review I really want to write...

Willow first appeared as Al's companion during a mod review showcasing her. Al started to get annoyed by Willow over time because she talks so much. In later parts of the review Willow gives Al some Teddy Bear Bombs. Al throws one not knowing it's power and accidentally kills Rex. Willow - A Better Companion Experience - adds a fully voiced and professio quality companion. She has her own questline, too. Bethesda and Obsidian should take notes from this mod. Electro-City - Mainly adds a ton of light-posts around the highways and roads in New Vegas - great mod. There is also an option to disable light-posts on highways if. Two of them make up the foundation of the experience of having Willow as a companion. The others are accessory quests which go along with traveling with Willow. You may or may not ever do them. One is quite simple and small and there purely for the fun of it and the others are there for structure and flavor.
